Marching Bands and Lots of Singing
16 July 20112011paradeSaturday, July 16 promises to be lots of fun. Duncan Daze continues today with plenty of entertainment in the downtown area and at 11am the Grande Parade begins.
Very much a centrepiece of the summer festival, the streets of Duncan will be lined with people young and old as the parade progresses through the streets.
Town celebrities in crazy costumes, fire trucks and police cars, marching bands and … just lots of fun!
The fun doesn’t stop there. At 2pm military precision combines with the spine tingling skirl of the bagpipes as the Military Tattoo gets underway, featuring the Cowichan Pipes & Drums amongst the performers.
Who is Duncan’s most talented?
We have seen an impressive amount of talent since our Duncan’s Got Talent competition started on Tuesday.
Today at 3pm in Charles Hoey Park is the moment everyone has been waiting for: the Duncan’s Got Talent Final!
We are all very excited to see who will win and encourage you to come along and enjoy the show.
Something for everyone this Saturday
As usual the Farmers Market will also be present on Craig Street – a slightly shortened market today which will be running from 9am until 2pm.
And while all this goes on, you can sit in Charles Hoey Park and listen to our local musicians from 11am until 2pm.
Have a fantastic Saturday!
