Naomi Payan

28 June 2011

This year’s festival will see several appearances by local singer Naomi Payan. The Duncan based folk-rock singer made it into the final stage of the Cowichan Folk Guild’s songwriting contest this year and will be performing a number of her latest songs at the festival.

In the past five years Naomi began to write and perform her own material at open mic contests in Scotland, France and Canada and hasn’t looked back.

I enjoy lots of different types of music, but some of my favourites are Fiona Apple, Jeff Buckley and Elbow.

As a full time mom to describe Naomi as busy is an understatement, especially as she is also currently recording new accoustic work with a friend.

When is Naomi playing?

We are lucky to have Naomi playing on the following days as part of the Summer Festival.
